Bonhams Sells a 17.97 carat Diamond Ring for Six Figures

The Bonham's fine jewellery sale held on the 6th of December 2016 in New York, where there was a bidding war for this spectacular diamond. A rectangular 17.97 carat Type IIa rectangular step-cut diamond solitaire ring which was eventually sold to a buyer over the phone for more than $1.4 million.
There were a further 170 lots auctioned off but this was by far the most interesting.
